Marmite! YAY!
All is right with the world.
I am at peace.

Lunch etc

The kitchen is finally done and the cupboards restocked with the brown sludge of the Gods.
Bit of a minor catastrophe tho - in my excitement I forgot that other crucial constituent of the marmite sandwich; namely the bread!
So I decided to be adventurous on this last marmite free day and had a posh one from the posh shop.

1 beef with chilli sauce and rocket on ciabatta

Tasty but a bit on the small side, probably a good job as Mrs Bobbins is cooking me a slap up meal tonight.

Countdown

Hurrah! The kitchen is almost done, soon my beloved marmite and I will be reunited. I thought about doing a marmite advent calendar, perhaps in flash, but other events have transpired to prevent me.

Obsession

Grasping it firmly by the neck, I plunge the knife in; twisting and turning it, I pull it out coated in sticky goo.
Glancing furtively about, I touch it to my tongue, savouring the taste.
Smiling, I spread the rest on a slice of freshly buttered toast.

Mmmm Marmite, tasty to the bottom of the jar.

Lunch etc

Trouble at Bobbins Towers. Our kitchen is being refitted and the marmite jar is currently inaccessible. Am having to cope with shop bought sandwiches.

Lunch etc

Wonderful wonderful marmite
How I never tire of you
I had some on toast last night
Making my breath smell of poo!

Wonderful wonderful marmite
I just can't resist
I'd rather have some on toast
Than, by Mrs Bobbins, be kissed!

Yes last night I couldnt resist a slice of the brown nectar of the gods, but it did mean I had to forgo a kiss from Mrs Bobbins (she cant stand the stuff - unbelievable!).

1 marmite sandwich in white bread (crusty doorsteps)
packet of crips
a clemantine

Lunch etc

1 marmite sandwich in granary, cut lovingly by Mrs Bobbins and so of equal thickness to surprising tolerance.
2 clemantine’s – one of the things I like about the winter is the availability of these delightful members of the citrus family
